There has already been a lot of interest in the RAD2 Records Access Documentation grants round. For organisations thinking of applying, we’ve started putting information up on the website so you can see just how easy it is .

The Guidelines, help with how to describe records in your application, and FAQs to answer any burning questions are now available. If you have questions that haven’t been answered in our FAQs, or more explanation is needed, please contact us at rad-2@unimelb.edu.au and we’ll be happy to help. The website will continue to be updated until applications open, and FAQs will be added to until applications close.

There’s also a brand new Facebook page to help keep everyone informed. This page will share new information as soon as the website is updated, so head to https://www.facebook.com/RAD2Grants and ‘Like’ the page if you’d like to keep up with the grants program that way.

Applications will open on 3 October 2016, and the short application form can easily be completed online. Our workshop/webinar series will run in late October and will focus on both the content of the applications and provide assistance with the online form if needed. If you’re interested in attending a workshop, get in touch. For those organisations who we can’t visit directly, there will also be a series of webinars.

If you have an idea for a project but aren’t sure if it will be eligible for a RAD2 grant, please get in touch. We’re really happy to talk through any ideas for any size project, and a project that may seem unimportant may be exactly what we’re looking to fund. We want to work with you to see your project go ahead, so please email us with any questions you have at rad-2@unimelb.edu.au.

If you’re not already on our mailing list for information about the grants list, you can join by emailing rad-2@unimelb.edu.au. You’ll receive weekly emails containing new information and updates about the grants.
